Shades of blue skittlette !!!!

Hello, my lovelies....

Tonight I wanna take you on a midnight walk. You, me, the sky, the stars and a stunning blue color combo I've worn while ago when the claws were still long. 

I love playing with different finishes and still staying in a specific color palette. A certain color can represent a special feeling or emotion and if you let your heart you all things are getting into their places. It's really that simple.

'' The meanings of blue are often associated with serenity, calm and spirituality. But color symbolism can be strangely contradictory and Blue is no different. Blue also brings to mind sadness and loneliness for many....''

 Just look at these deep rich shades of blue! When I was wearing this mani it was like walking with the night sky on my beloved claws.... What a heartbreaking romance for my poor soul.

Romantic punk decoration !!!!

Hello, my lovelies....

Today the claws are dressed in light grey-ish lilac decorated in a romantic vintage  style with a hint of punk to make the look not so feminine. I've used one of my most favorite stamping plates from Born Pretty Store - BP-05 along with all the fantastic shades from Golden rose.

Damask pattern for #WNAC2015 !!!!

Hello, my lovelies….

Today I’m going to show you my next mani for #wnac2015 for the Damask theme. I was thrilled enough to sketch a huge number of designs for this mani but at the end it all went into the wrong direction. I’ve thought why not to try stamping? And that’s not all. I’ve been too self-confident and tried to make a decals instead of using the regular stamping method. Yeah, I know…. No one likes the  swagger. I’m not good at stamping and I admit it. I thought making decals with my stamper and some clear top coat with be much easier. I thought it would be a piece of cake. Well, it wasn’t.

First the images didn’t transfer on the stamper as smooth as they should. Then when the clear top coat was dry enough so I can be able to remove my so called decal from the stamper it just curled as as a little tube. Pff, my English is not good enough to turn all those emotions into clear and comprehensible line of words. At the final, it was too damn hard to put those stupid decals on my nails without making too much wrinkles and crinkles. And that’s not all. When I looked at my ‘decorated’ nails I have realized the pattern is miles away from representing Damask. It was just quite ordinary pattern – nice and ….not Damask. I’ve realized it was a much better idea to draw something even not delicate as the stamped image but at least more theme appropriate.

See? The contrast between the colors is not as strong as I’ve wanted. The shades I’ve used are truly beautiful on their own and next to each other but don’t give the right effect. Too sad for the inspirational theme. I’m thinking of re-do in the future but with more contrast colors and of course – with skills improved. I hope.

Born Pretty Store Nail art Pen !!!!

Hello, my lovelies….

     I really don’t know how to start this post. It’s not because I’m not satisfied with the final result. It’s not because I’m going to show you something you haven’t seen before. It’s just because for the first time I felt  disappointed from a nail art product.  Maybe it’s my fault – not enough practice, not enough skills, not enough patience…. I don’t know. It just didn’t work for me.

Born Pretty Store Nailart pen.

      I was really thrilled when I’ve received it . I thought it would be a great fun and probably a piece of cake to decorate my nails with this pen. I followed the instructions – shake, pump, draw – but…. Don’t like buts at all. I hate to see buts here.  But it wasn’t that easy. The liquid was too sheer and looked like a sour milk. The shake and pump exercise was really annoying/sorry/.  At the middle of all the work process the liquid just has stopped. When I shake it again nothing has happened – I wasn’t able to add even a single drop more on my nail. Another shake-pump work out and nothing. Ten minutes rest – nothing. Another try – nothing. Last chance - not me for sure.The pen probably doesn't like me. At all.

So, that’s it – great expectations and big disappointment. Sorry, Born Pretty, you know I’m a great fan of your products but this pen is not one of my favorite ones. I’ll be a good girl and will give one more chance to my nail art pen but not now. We both need a little more time to clear our differences.

Now let’s see the photos.

    As you can see, my lovelies, the final result is quite good. It’s because I’ve finished my rose with my fine brush and some white acrylic paint. All the rest is obvious – some stamping with Born Pretty Store BP-05, a few flat back acrylic pearls – again from the store and some holographic glitter for the thumb so he can feel special too.

If you, my lovelies, have any special tips and tricks for using that kind of nail art pens please let me know. I'm open to all suggestions.

Goth it, Dahlia with Zoya Pixie Dust !!!!

Today was such a lazyyyy and relaxing day for your Red Frog. The little princess is on a vacation with her dad and I thought why not to take a full day off? Just to lay in bed with my coffee mug on the table and my Kindle beside me. After all moms need a little time to recharge....

So at the end of this 'Keep calm and do nothing' day it will be nice to chat a bit with you.

The Nudes are Dipped in Silver with Essence !!!!

Hello, my lovelies ....

Back in the non-polish-addicted days when there were just a bunch bottles of polish on the shelf .... I was a huge fan of all dark shades and ain't got no nude ones around. But than the obsession has started. I've noticed there are so many marvellous colors closed in little bottles .... And I've wanted them all. In the last few months I'm searching for my perfect nude and it's tough. To find a nude polish for my yellow-ish skin tone is not that easy. When I've heard about Essence's new limited editions - I Love Nudes - I was thrilled. Maybe, just maybe The One is coming. So now it's nude time! The Nudes have finally arrived! 

It wasn't easy to pick just two of them. To be honest I'm thinking about geeting back at the store for the rest of the collection. 

Let me introduce you to 'I'm Lost In You' and 'Pure Soul'.

I'm Lost In You - smooth creme finish, light terracotta shade, perfect for a bit warmer skin tones, great application, acceptable drying time, two coats. Really, really close to the perfection.

Pure Soul - light pink-ish ivory, very delicate and feminine, perfect for a french type mani, a bit tricky application but still buildable for such a light shade, stunning pink subtle shimmer visible mostly in the bottle, a great base for nail art, three thin coats. Pure treasure for my collection.

After all I'm still searching. But I'm sure Mr.Perfect-Nude is a bit closer than before. 
I've wore the Nudes for a day in their pure clear gorgeousness and then I've decided to play a bit with my stamping plates.The silver metalic ending of today's mani is A-England Excalibur. Hope you like it, my lovelies .... I just love it.

Royal Clows with Golden Rose Expert Color and W7 !!!!

Hello, my lovelies....

When it's up to bold colors I'm always at the front line. Especially when the weather outside is so foggy and depressive. Especially when thоse bold colors look so damn gorgeous on my nails. Holly nail polish gods, pinch me please because this royal violet is blocking all the rational thoughts in my head. Golden Rose Color Expert 37. Wow. When I'm looking at the photos I'm thinking why the hell I didn't bought this beauty months ago? There's no other color like this in my collection.
