3D Nail art - round one !!!!

Hello, my lovelies....

Today I have a story for you - a story about one red frog playing with acrylic powder. This story is a bit boring because this little red frog is an absolute amateur in the world of acrylic powder for nail art but who cares? The little/or not so little/ frog is too curious and loves to try new and different types of nail art for her claws. Yes, the frog I'm talking about has long pointy claws and doesn't afraid to experiment with them. 

So, imagine one red frog, little pot full with acrylic powder, a tiny fine brush and let the game begin. 

My first attempt in 3D nail art.

Hm. It's hard to give a name to such an awkward odd creation. Those bulbs on my pinkie were supposed to be a rose. Yeah, I know. It's more like a strange symptom of a tropical disease. I'm still too clumsy with the brush and the acrylic powder but that doesn't  discourage me. No, I am inspired. I won't leave that pot of powder alone. I'll make that rose some day. Till then  you, my lovelies, will have the chance to see all the 'strange' results here.

Wing Dust Waking Dream - dreamy blackened purple base with crelly finish and amazing variety of glitters in circle, star, bar and hex shapes in silver, red and gold

Perfect polish - deep magenta with lovely subtle blue to violet shimmer from the old line of the brand with no number on the bottle

Hello, my lovelies....

A special theme run though my mind lately - seven nail art designs inspired by the seven deadly sins. I'm way far from being religious. Probably the only think I truly believe in is destiny - what should happen will happen. So, when I've saw Catrice Plum fiction next to Envy by Polish Me Silly there was no doubt about the first design. I know green is most appropriate color here but Hello! - look at the name.... And here we are - my Envy is purple with hints of blue and touch of gold. And it's just gorgeous.

Wows by Golden Rose !!!!

Hello, my lovelies....

Yeah, I know it's late at night and most of the normal people are in bed or at a bar or just enjoy themselves somewhere else but not here at the blog. But I can't wait. Why so? I'm wow-ed. Yes, that's right. Truly deeply madly wow-ed.

So, back to the main theme - Wow polishes.

 I'm impressed! And the most important - I'm impressed of the light shades. I was completely sure I'll have to put at least yhree coats of each of the light ones. But no no no. The three little ones need just two normal coat to reach full opacity. Indeed. It's such a pleasure to polish your nails with them - creamy texture, great pigmentation and pretty good drying time. All three of them are in two coats on the photos. Only the juicy vampy purple was in despearate need for an extra coat just to even the color. But what a color! I'm in permanent hunger for this type of colors - rich, deep, bold and really really sexy. I'm in love! I love them all. And just can't wait to take home more of these wows.

Meet Manhattan:Purple Rain !!!!

Hello, my lovelies ....

I'm so excited!!! Forgive the big amount of photos in this post but I just LOVE how they turn out. Hope you'll enjoy them as much as I do. Now let's see what we have today .... Where is your umbrella? Purple rain is coming ....

Manhattan Collection Purple Rain - dark, seductive purple gorgeousness closed in just 7ml bottle of polish. You can see the extreme fine silver dust dancing in the bottle right? It gives the color unique depth and richness. I was almost sure Prince will jump out of the bottle when I open it.

The color is more on the wintery side of my palette but the vampy look it gives to my nails is so irresistible. Purple rain's formula is great - smooth, opaque and very easy to work with. Drying time is amazing - you need to work fast with the brush. I've put topcoat just because I always do. Well, maybe some more glossiness is always better. All the photos show two coats with a topcoat.

I've played a bit with some water and alcohol to create the marbled effect. It's always such a fun to make the well known water-marble mess. Manhattan polishes give a whole universe of possibilities for matching colors and finishes.

Draft Series:More Colors for the Roses !!!!

Hello,my lovelies...

Today I want to show you another mani from the recent past, another mani from the draft box. Yes, there are still enough draft post there waiting patiently to get to you.

I've choose this one because of the colors and my need for colors. And this mani is really a perfect answer to my needs, well at least for my visual ones because: 1)these colors are not on my nails at this moment 2)I'm not quite sure when they were on my nails 3)it's so good to see these colors together again 4)the dots make the mani very playful and girly 5)last but not least - there is also glitter along with all the other decoration. Enough reasons to call this mani 'perfect for my visual needs'. I've been really satisfied how the roses came up and definitely will make a re-do with some other colors very soon.

Hello hello,lovelies...

Still awake I hope....How was your weekend?Mine was fast as a race car so I think somebody should make weekends at least four days long...Lately I definitely need more than 24 hours a day to do all the things needed to be done...

Back to the polishes please...Well,tonight I have an awesome comparison for you.Two of the most wanted polishes in my wish list - Orly Fowl Play and OPI Merry Midnight.I got these babies thanks to two amazing ladies - Patricia and Anita just few months ago.Finally their time has come and I'm freakin' happy to say - these two should stay on every single polish rack in our polish addicted world.

Fowl Play was released back in 2011 as part of Birds of a Feather Collection by Orly brand.

Merry Midnight was born 2 years earlier in 2009 as part of OPI's Holiday Wishes Collection. 

They look very similar to each other...but only in the bottles believe me,lovelies....Lots of posts in our polished world were dedicated to these guys here and probably most of you have already seen them in person but as we know - it's never enough.So,please guys,don't blame me for being so exited about wearing these two gotgeous ones.

My impressions - 

Orly Fowl Play - he's the darker of them two.No matter he came in this world later,he looks like an older brother - both are cute,both are sexy but he's more intense and deep.The base color is with a bit more blue in it.It's a deep blackish violet full of all those gorgeous multicolored flakes which make the polish so vibrant.

OPI Merry Midnight - warm sensual purple jelly....The little brother is also interesting for my eyes...hmmm...As the base is warmer so are the flakes' colors.You can see the hidden fire of the flakes on the photoes down bellow.There is more thrilling red in OPI's bottle which makes it so close to my heart.
